CLEAN, BRIGHT & Delicious...

The Challenge:

Our clients, a creative couple with a passion for wellness and music, felt disconnected from their kitchen. Located in a classic Baltimore rowhome, the existing space was cramped, cluttered, and didn't reflect their lifestyle. They didn't just want a new kitchen; they wanted a serene, hyper-functional hub for healthy living—a space that could seamlessly transition from morning coffee to meal prep to evening entertaining, all while hiding the clutter of daily life.

The FADE Approach:

Our journey with the clients was one of detailed collaboration. As Architects, we designed a solution that revolved around a single, monolithic wall of full-height cabinetry. This bold architectural move allowed us to conceal the pantry, appliances, and even a hidden coffee bar, creating an unbroken, calming visual plane. Our Fabrication expertise came into play with a unique, custom feature: a retractable dining table that effortlessly folds out from the cabinet wall, providing a flexible dining or workspace that disappears when not in use. This is where our integrated FADE process shines—turning a simple architectural concept into a beautifully executed, custom-fabricated reality.

The Outcome:

The result is a complete transformation from a place of clutter to a sanctuary of calm. The new kitchen is now the true heart of the home, a light-filled space that feels both expansive and efficient. The minimalist design, with its clean lines and warm wood tones, perfectly complements the clients' love for mid-century design and their extensive record collection, which is now elegantly housed in the custom island. The space now perfectly supports their wellness-focused lifestyle, proving that even within the constraints of a historic rowhome, you can create a modern haven of peace and functionality.
