whaT,WHY & HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO:
1
Fabrication
We bring architectural concepts to life through a deep, hands-on engagement with materials and making. Our expertise in custom digital fabrication architecture and CNC machined architectural elements allows us to create high-performance, project-specific components. Decades of hands-on construction experience give us the insight to blend advanced fabrication technologies with traditional craft. Through detailed modeling of the full building assembly, we bridge the gap between digital precision and artisan execution, ensuring every element is thoughtfully considered and built to perform.

Our Tool Chest:

Architecture
Our architectural practice is rooted in solving complex challenges with elegant, site-specific solutions. As a Passive House architect in Baltimore and a partner in net zero residential and commercial design across Maryland, we specialize in high-performance construction and building science-driven design. With a focus on deep energy retrofits, sustainable mixed-use development, and resilient building systems, we create spaces that are energy-efficient, durable, and responsive to their context. Our process is collaborative and transparent, guiding clients through every phase from concept through construction.

Our Blueprints:

-
Licensed Practice: Maryland, Virginia, DC, & New Jersey
-
Specialties: Residential (New & Renovation) (Multi & Single Family), Commercial (New & Renovation), Adaptive Reuse, Landscapes.... basically anything or anywhere in need of a solution that is driven by the shared desire to implement positive change.
-
High-Performance Design: Modulated, Panelized Net-Zero Energy Consultation, Workforce Development,
-
Technical Documents: Building Permit Sets, Construction Documents, 3D Renderings
-
Oversight: Construction Administration, On-site Problem Solving, Quality Control
3
Development
We approach every project with a developer’s mindset, focusing on feasibility, community impact, and long-term value. Our process begins with rigorous, on-the-ground research—analyzing site conditions, navigating zoning and historic preservation requirements, and engaging with local stakeholders. From Baltimore rowhouse renovations to equitable housing development across Maryland, we develop feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and execution strategies that transform underutilized properties into high-performing assets. This work supports affordable housing design, sustainable development, and clear, actionable paths forward for our clients and partners.

Our Strategy:

-
Pre-Design Services: Project Feasibility Studies, Site & Zoning Analysis
-
Entitlements: Variance Applications, Historic Tax Credit Consultation, Incentive Programs, Grant Coordination
-
Community & Capital: Stakeholder Engagement, Grant Application Support
-
Equitable Models: Community Land Trust (CLT) Partnerships, Affordable Housing Design
-
Pro Forma & Visioning: Creating a clear, viable path forward for investment.

Education
Education is the current that runs through everything we do. As a partner in architecture for workforce development in Maryland, we believe in sharing knowledge to empower clients, collaborators, and the next generation of builders and designers. This takes many forms: leading hands-on workforce training initiatives, contributing to vocational training center design in Baltimore, and supporting university programs through bioclimatic curriculum development. We often turn construction sites into living laboratories, where systems like Passive House detailing and deep energy retrofit strategies become teaching tools for real-world application.

Our Classroom:

-
Workforce Training: Leading hands-on construction & fabrication workshops.
-
Academia: University-level instruction & guest critic for design reviews.
-
Mentorship: Guiding students and emerging professionals.
-
Client Empowerment: Collaborative workshops to clarify project goals.
-
Public Advocacy: Speaking and presenting on sustainable design & equitable development.
